"The mission of The Drake House is to provide emergency residential housing for homeless mothers with minor children combined with services designed to stabilize the family and assist them on their path to recovery.

We accomplish that mission today because HomeAid Atlanta had faith and confidence in our vision. With Dan O'Dwyer of O'Dwyer Homes serving as the HomeAid Atlanta Builder Captain, the needed work was accomplished. The results were astounding.

Through HomeAid Atlanta and O'Dwyer Homes, more than 60 percent of the materials and labor for the project were donated. This incredible savings in financial resources combined with efficient, professional workmanship launched The Drake House into business with first class facilities and greatly reduced debt. We have a good program. But, we can only operate that program because HomeAid Atlanta provided much needed support and assistance to ensure the quality housing that these homeless families desperately need."
